Wordless Bracelet

.

Supplies

.

Here are the supplies that you will need to make a wordless bracelet:
Ruler
Scissors
Cord (must be able to fit two pieces of cord through the bead at the same time)
Black Bead
Red Bead
White Bead
Yellow or Gold Bead
Green Bead
Clear Bead (or your choice color)

.

.

Cut the cord

.

Cut a piece of cord to approximately 15 inches in length

.

First knot

.

Place a knot in the cord about an inch from the center.

.

Add Beads

.

Feed the beads onto the cord in this order: Black, Red, White, Gold, Green.

As you are putting the beads on one by one you can explain what each one stands for:

The black bead reminds us that we have all done bad things called sin. Romans 3:23 says "For all have sinned and come short of the glory of God." Since God is perfect he can't let sin into Heaven.

The red bead stands for the blood of Jesus Christ. Jesus is the only son of God. He came to earth and He is the only perfect person that ever lived. John 3:16 says, "For God so loved the world, that He gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life." All we have to do is believe in Jesus and ask God to take away our sins because Jesus paid the price by dying on the cross.

When we accept Jesus Christ as our Savior God no longer sees our sin. To him, we appear to be white and clean just like this white bead. 2 Corinthians 5:17 says, "Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new."

We can now go to heaven when we die to live with with God forever. The Gold bead reminds us of heaven, the streets of gold, and mansions which God is preparing for those who trust in Jesus. John 14:2 "In my Father's house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also."

The green bead reminds us that as believers in Christ we should grow like the grass and the trees, learning more about God and how to obey Him after we have received His salvation as a free gift. 2 Peter 3:18 says, "But grow in grace, and in the knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. To him be glory both now and for ever. Amen."

After you finish the last bead it is time to finish the bracelet.

.

Second knot

.

Tie a second knot on the other side of the beads but make sure they have some room so that you can slide them across the gap while you are telling what the colors of this bracelet mean. The beads should be in the center of the bracelet.

.

Add Clear Bead

.

Now add the clear bead to the one end of the cord.

.

Finishing Touches

.

At this point you can feed the other end of the cord into the clear bead as shown in the picture.

.

Last knots

.

Now knot both ends of the cord so that the bracelet can be easily adjusted.

.

.

This same bracelet will fit most children...
